"Sticky Collection by Nina van de Ven. Since graduating in 2014 Nina has mainly focused on drawing and graphic techniques, and she recently started working with ceramics. She gets her inspiration from images that are rooted in all aspects of human civilization and culture. These attributes, motifs and symbols that she combines in her work stem from history, the occult, pop culture and the everyday. Nina is always keeping sketchbooks and scrapbooks, year after year, to collect these sources and work with them as sketch material for new works and ideas.

Sticky Collection is a publication that shows these extensive sourcebooks, combined with images of works that derived from these sketches and ideas. The combination of these elements provides a complete picture of the process and the final work. It's like a personal encyclopedia without a table of contents, an insight into Nina’s world plus a selection of works from the past 8 years."
